About Us:

Originally a charity called Bradford Police Club, PRISM has worked with young people from the Girlington and Manningham areas of Bradford since 1935. Our history lies is in providing a safe place for young people to go which supports their social and emotional needs. In 2002 Bradford Police Club merged with Bradford City Farm under the new name PRISM Youth Project. Following Government legislation, PRISM took the decision to become an Independent School and started the process in April 2010. We were granted Independent School status on 7th December 2011 – Registration No 380/6001. PRISM continues to work with young people from across the Bradford District and also takes referrals from North Yorkshire, Kirklees and Calderdale.

PRISM works under an ethos of respect, openness and honesty. We believe schooling is a partnership between PRISM, the student and the parent and we will seek to actively involve all parents/carers in the education of their children.

PRISM offer bespoke courses to schools or collaborative groups on Functional or Vocational Courses held at either of our two dedicated sites. We can cater for between 5 and 10 learners enabling them to access an accredited course for as little as half a day a week. We work with both Key Stage 3 and 4 with our Key Stage 3 provision centred around reintegration back into school whilst Key Stage 4 focuses on vocational accreditations.

Staff:

All PRISM staff are experienced youth workers, with all front line delivery staff having a teaching or DTLLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification. This combination of qualifications and experience make them ideally place to deal with the social and emotional issues at the heart of disengagement with mainstream schooling whilst ensuring that their educational needs are met.
